On September 13, 2024 in Ohrid, N.Macedonia, CESP together with the Macedonian Police Union organized and International Conference: “Criminal- legal and misdemeanor protection of police officers”, on which CESP President, Ricardo Valadas was one of the speakers together with the Minister of Interior of N.Macedonia, Pance Toshkovski. 

Prominent speakers from the country and abroad, judges, prosecutors and academia representatives were panelists on the Conference which was attended by more than 16 international delegations together with high level representatives from the Ministry of Interior,  members of MPS.

The goal of this gathering was exchange of experiences and finding adequate solutions for better protection of police officers with the Police Unions as an indispensable part in the process.

In the framework of this event, CESP President Valadas had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Interior of N.Macedonia with whom discussed the new European policing trends and the need to adapt to the new European scenarios. During the meeting It was concluded that the social dialogue between the Ministry and the Union is the key element in providing police officers protection and promotion of decent working conditions.

At the end, the event was followed by statements for the Media from President Valadas and Minister of Interior, Toshkovski.
