National Council meeting of Sindicatul EUROPOL

CESP delegation was present on the National Council meeting of the Union EUROPOL in the period from 23-24 September 2023 in Costinesti, Romania.
In the framework of the National Council meeting, CESP attended the panel titled: Discussion on “Romania’s Accession to the Schengen Area – challenges and perspectives”, on which the role of the Union in providing decent working conditions for the police officers was also discussed.
The panel was also attended by the Director of Asylum of the Romanian General Inspectorate of Immigration, (IGI), Tache Dragan and the Deputy General Inspector of the Romanian Border Police General Inspectorate (IGPF), Stoica Cornel.
The constructive social dialogue with the respective authorities as a precondition for safe and sound police forces in Romania was one of the main focal points on the panel.
CESP will continue to monitor the police situation in its members, providing assistance and mechanisms in their demands for a better police future.
