In the period from 21-23 December 2019 in Ohrid, North Macedonia, the 7th Congress of the Macedonian Police Union was held.

On the Congress, the President of CESP, Ricardo Valadas together with the General Secretary, Jesus Lira Calvo were present. The Congress elected Mr. Marjan Kicev as a President of MPS, while the previous President of MPS, Zlatko Cvetkovski shall continue to carry out other activities within the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia.

The presence of CESP in the main events of our member unions, in this case with MPS, is a very important part of CESP activities: it’s important to strengthen the links that unite us and the mutual collaboration, the progress of future actions and review how our common activities are working.

It also helped us exchange views with other Unions invited to Congress, members of CESP, and others that are not yet to prepare future actions of CESP, with special attention to the visit to CEPOL, European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training, our presence at the European Police Congress in February and prepare a new strategy for our presence on social networks.
